If you’re a finance or accounting graduate looking for more than just your first job, Transgrid’s 2027 Graduate Program is your opportunity to build a meaningful, long-term career in the energy sector.
Starting in February 2027, our two-year Graduate Program is designed to support your transition from university to industry. You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and explore where your interests and strengths can take you — all while contributing to Australia’s clean energy future.

Throughout the program, you’ll develop professional and technical capability, commercial acumen, and practical problem-solving skills – preparing you for future roles such as:
- Accounting and Compliance
- Project and Management Accounting
- Finance Business Partner
- Financial or Reporting Analyst
- Internal Audit

Who we are looking for
We’re looking for curious, motivated graduates who want to learn, contribute, and build a career with purpose. You don’t need to know everything – we’ll support you to get there.
You’ll need to:
- Hold or be in your final year of a Finance and/or Accounting degree
- Be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold an eligible working visa
- Have graduated or be graduating by January 2027
- Be available to attend an in-person Assessment Centre in Ultimo between 4–8 May 2026
- Demonstrate strong teamwork, clear communication, problem-solving skills, and a genuine interest in sustainability and social responsibility

- Submit your application
- Create a profile on our careers portal and tell us about yourself, your studies, and what interests you about Transgrid in your resume and cover letter.
- Application review
- Our Early Careers recruitment team will review your application and keep you updated on your progress.
- Online behavioural and cognitive testing
- If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to complete a 15-minute online game-based assessment measuring problem solving, numerical reasoning, and verbal skills, plus a 5-minute behavioural assessment to assess workplace fit and key competencies.
- One-way video interview
- Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited to complete a short video interview, giving you the chance to share more about who you are and what motivates you.
- Shortlisting
- Our team will review video interviews and let you know the outcome.
- In-person Assessment Centre
- Successful candidates will be invited to attend our Assessment Centre in Ultimo between 4–8 May 2026, where you’ll take part in group activities, practical tasks, and interviews.
- Pre-employment checks
- Final candidates will complete standard pre-employment checks.
- Offers made
- Successful candidates will receive a verbal offer followed by a formal written offer via email.
