This is a rare opportunity to join an ASX top 20 corporate in a senior Corporate Finance role. Due to the significant growth in our business, we are recruiting for a Director, Corporate Finance for our head office in Melbourne.
The Corporate Finance team is responsible for performing the valuations and financial analysis associated with all major strategic capital initiatives of the Group including mergers, acquisitions, investments, divestments, capital raisings, new project developments and corporate structure transactions.
This is a senior role within the team reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Finance and will have several direct reports. The successful applicant will have extensive Corporate Finance experience that has been preferably gained within the M&A team of an Investment Bank. In addition, the experience may also include the corporate finance team of a Chartered Accounting firm, corporate finance/M&A/development team of a large corporate or an investment firm is highly desirable.
The impact you will have:
- Bring a broad strategic lens to valuation and financial insights that will assist the Group with its investment decision making
- Preparation of valuation reports and recommendations, for consideration by the Board
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of financial models
- Lead the project management for development or other related projects, as required
- Present to relevant stakeholders and committees, as required
The talents you will bring:
- Extensive Corporate Finance experience (8+ years) from an investment banking perspective.
- Experience in new business development and implementation - acquisition, investment, capital raising and divestment transactions
- Strong and proven ability to work with and build complex financial models to enable review and oversight
- People leadership experience to be able to work with and drive a high performing team
- Corporate Finance experience gained from some years in investment bank and other experience which may include a Chartered Accounting firm, corporate or investment firm
- Degree qualification in relevant discipline and post-graduate is advantageous
