About the role
The Supplier Relationship Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) approach and associated Framework here at Transurban. This framework entails the management, in collaboration with key business stakeholders, of some of our most strategic suppliers.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Use your expertise to guide the wider Procurement team and business units on achieving industry best practice SRM
- Lead and manage the operational cadence for Transurban's strategic suppliers through the development and implementation of relationship roadmaps with win:win outcomes in mind
- Work closely with stakeholders to advise, coach, and support them with relevant Contract Management practices
- Conduct and facilitate innovation workshops with key suppliers and relevant business-side stakeholders to drive additional value during the life of an agreement
- Operate with a continuous improvement mindset as you contribute to the overall development of Procurement policies and practices in close partnership with a variety of stakeholders
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Strong comparable experience in strategic supplier and/or account management of high value supplier relationships
- The ability to carefully balance day-to-day transactional work vs. high-level and strategic responsibilities
- A proven ability to negotiate substantial contracts, including a strong understanding of the relevant business and legal T&Cs
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, relationship, collaboration, problem solving, and influencing abilities
