TRILITY is looking for a Trainee Service Technician to join our team in Yatala, Queensland.
As your skills and confidence grow, you’ll have the opportunity to develop towards a mechanical or instrumentation trade in a specialist water-treatment career.
Key responsibilities
Working alongside experienced technicians, you will learn to:
Assist with servicing and maintaining chemical dosing equipment and water-treatment equipment
Assist with installing chemical pipework, components and associated equipment
Calibrate, service and repair water-quality instruments
Assist with fault finding, troubleshooting and practical problem solving
Identify parts and equipment required for service and maintenance work
Prepare accurate service reports and use digital tools to record and submit site information
Follow safe work procedures, company processes and quality standards
Complete product, technical and safety training
Assist with improving systems, processes and safe ways of working
Provide professional and friendly service when working with customers and at customer sites
What we are looking for
We’re looking for a school leaver, junior or someone looking at starting a career in the water industry who is keen to learn and develop practical technical skills. You’ll ideally have:
A positive, reliable and can-do attitude
A genuine interest in practical, hands-on and technical work
A willingness to learn, take feedback and develop new skills
Good basic maths, reading and communication skills
Good concentration, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
The ability to follow instructions, ask questions and work safely
A team-first attitude and professional approach with customers and colleagues
Comfort using phones, tablets, computers and other digital tools
A current driver licence and willingness to travel to customer sites
A Construction Induction White Card, or willingness to obtain one, plus the ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role
