We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance delivery of the newly formed Terminal based at Kwinana WA.
Reporting to the National Electrical Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance program by providing technical expertise through working with a team of various disciplines, to provide a safe, reliable and efficient maintenance program.

About the role
You will lead the Electrical Preventative Maintenance and Reactive based Maintenance Program while overseeing all Electrical Engineering activities. You will be responsible for meeting the agreed budget, implement minor projects, improving asset reliability, implementing maintenance standards, and support commissioning activities as well as coordinating engineering support where required.
- Provide incident and injury-free delivery of maintenance services to the Kwinana Terminal by delivering strong HSSE leadership.
- Review and plan maintenance works in accordance with the site maintenance plans or as guided by the Kwinana Maintenance Manager.
- Contribute to the routine maintenance programs, including inspections, preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.
- Develop and implement improved maintenance practices to drive continuous improvement in all aspects of site maintenance.
- Ensure all break-down maintenance is conducted within set time limits and to safety & quality standards.
- Provide the sites with engineering troubleshooting support either directly or by coordinating the input of engineering specialists.
- Contribute to E&I engineering design efforts (i.e., design calculations, drawings, specifications, control systems and technical review of the works) on time, cost-effectively and fit for purpose for the project and business requirements.
- Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams both in project delivery and asset management.
About you
To be considered for the role the following qualifications will be highly regarded\:
- Tertiary Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Registered Professional Engineer (CPEng).
- Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (Classification and Design) certification – AS/NZS 60079.
- 8 years’ industrial experience in engineering, maintenance or commissioning within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries.
- Knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards with respect to Electrical systems in hazardous environments and Instrumentation systems.
- Experience in design, implementation, construction, commissioning, or maintenance of HV, LV and Controls equipment and systems.
- Ability to conduct & review Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineering.
- Experienced in implementing maintenance and inspection programs across multiple sites and use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Proven experience in leading a team across multiple sites and managing Subcontractors including contractor auditing.
- Excellent general computer literacy skills as well as strong specialist knowledge of discipline-based applications software.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams both in project delivery, asset management and Terminal operations.
