Payroll Officer – SAP – Challenging & Complex
About the role
We have an opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join the Payroll Processing Team based out of our beautiful head office in North Sydney.
The payroll team is made up of 3 distinct teams, data management, payroll processing and payroll accounting. Based in the payroll processing team you will be responsible for ensuring everyone is paid the correct amount, at the right time.
We employ predominantly blue-collar workers based on different project sites across Australia, with different site uplift allowances, EBA’s, LAFA and specific client-based agreements - you can see how the role can be rather complex and varied! Some of our payrolls have over 2,500 employees and we often pay more than 9,000 over the course of a month! To start you off, we’ll assign you to one of the smaller payrolls until you’re ready to tackle something larger.
The role involves essentially everything and anything that relates to paying our employees. That could mean workers compensation and income protection payments, manual payments, uploading payslips, weekly reconciliation and submission of payment summaries via STP and termination and redundancy quotes. You will also work on payroll tickets issued via ServiceNow where you’ll get to talk to our recruitment and HR teams to solve payroll queries.

- Action requests and queries via ServiceNow
- Ensure all net pay transactions are transmitted through our online bank with appropriate authorisations
- Fully utilise SAP to verify and ensure correct authorisation has been achieved
