About the role
UGLs Locomotive maintenance facility based in Spotswood, Melbourne is looking for a Rolling Stock experienced Production Manager to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. UGL is offering relocation assistance to any suitable applicants willing to relocate to Melbourne for this opportunity.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the role of Production Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, purposeful, efficient and profitable work environment by leading the service delivery teams to achieve all objectives for agreed production schedules, quality standards are all completed with the focus on Safety. The Production Manger will have between 6 – 10 direct reports (Delivery Managers, Planner) with teams of mixed trade and non-trade qualified staff on day and rotating shift rosters.
About you
- Experience with in a rolling stock environment in a Supervision or Production Manage level role
- Relevant trade qualification plus frontline management, production management and/or an engineering discipline.
- Substantial trade experience in a production/maintenance/engineering environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands
- Handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
- Ability to build strong cross functional relationships and stakeholder management skills with Production Manager and other Service delivery teams.
