About this role:
As a Trade Waste Officer, you will regulate the discharge of trade waste into Unitywater’s sewerage system in accordance with our Trade Waste Policy and Management Plan. With an ability for building stakeholder relationships and helping businesses succeed, you will assess Trade Waste Permits, Liquid Waste and Plan Assessment applications in accordance with Unitywater’s Trade Waste practices. Additionally, you will undertake compliance monitoring, which includes sampling and an inspection program to ensure permit conditions are being adhered to. You value working as a team as much as managing your time and deadlines and are looking forward to participating in continuous improvement and safety initiatives. This is a contract opportunity until June 2022.
About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
- Certificate IV in Trade Waste and knowledge of modern sewage treatment plant processes will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of trade waste management including pre-treatment installation, servicing requirements, sewer admission limits and specifying discharge conditions.
- Trade waste experience coupled with relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in customer management in a commercial environment.
- Ability to analyse technical information and a passion for new innovations to improve business efficiencies and the customer experience.
- Ability to adopt quickly to new technologies and processes.
- Enjoy working in a team environment and able to work independently.
- Strong time management skills and work towards targets and deadlines.
