About the role:
We are on the search for an Apprentice to join our team on a full-time basis within the Sunshine Coast area. You will be working directly in your community for a leading Utilities organisation developing your skills and knowledge in the field as an Apprentice Electrical Fitter Mechanic (Electrician). You will have the opportunity to be mentored and complete on-the-job training and formal training. You will work within a team and directly assist the Unit Leader by proactively following processes, procedures and systems in the delivery of section initiatives and establishments of technical standards.
About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:
- C Class Drivers Licence.
- The ability to pass a full colour vision test.
- Demonstrated interest in the Electrical field, and experience with hand tools.
- Strong Year 12 Maths and Science.
- Strong computer skills.
- A proactive willingness to develop skills and knowledge in these trades.
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Sound understanding of teamwork and keen interest in participating and contributing to a team environment.
- A commitment to undertake and complete four years of formal training.
- The ability to be self-motivated and to work as part of a team and/or independently when necessary.
- Demonstrated flexible approach to allocated tasks and training.
- Demonstrated basic time management skills and creative skills for problem solving.
- The ability to understand and adhere to all Work Health and Safety procedures and requirements.
- Willingness to travel and work across the Unitywater region.
