About the role:
As the Senior Infrastructure Planning and Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the detailed planning of water and sewerage network infrastructure. This will include options assessments, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, cost estimation, and the preparation of business cases for a range of network projects ranging in complexity and value. You will also be required to manage external contractors who have been engaged by Unitywater to complete business cases and designs to facilitate high quality deliverables and favourable outcomes for Unitywater. You will be the subject matter expert and a key advisory to the organisation in the development of design documentation and offer technical support. About you:

- Experience in the planning and design of water supply and sewerage network assets including pumping stations, reservoirs, pipelines, and ancillary structures.
- Knowledge of accepted products, materials and standards used in the water industry.
- Strong communication and report writing skills, coupled with project and contract management skills.
- Highly accountable for own work while working in, and contributing to, a strong and supportive team environment through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil, Mechanical and/or Environmental Engineering.
- Hold or be working toward a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) qualification.
