About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable team player for a 12-month backfill role, with the potential for extension or a permanent opportunity at the end of the term.
This unique “floater” position offers variety and challenge, providing coverage across multiple roles within the Moreton Bay Region. Based out of Morayfield, it’s a fantastic chance to grow your career, take on new experiences, and be part of an inclusive, high-performing team at a leading utilities provider.
In this role, you will help maintain and improve Unitywater’s electrical, instrumentation, and control assets across the Moreton Bay region. You will also work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Unit Leaders, proactively contributing to the development of processes, procedures, and systems that drive innovation and set technical standards.

About you:

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, both personally and within the team.
- Passionate about delivering excellent results for both customers and colleagues.
- Hold a Certificate III in Electrical Fitting and Mechanical.
- Certificate III in Instrumentation/Control (preferred) or a willingness to achieve this qualification.
- Solid experience and knowledge of AC and DC motor control systems.
- Possess a current Queensland Electrical Work Licence (or equivalent).
- Apply a thorough understanding of the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations, and Standards.
- Proficient in using MS Outlook and capable of working with maintenance management systems.
- Hold or be willing to obtain an MR Class Driver Licence (we’ll support you through this process).
