Cleaning Supervisor - Bullsbrook RAAF Base Pearce

This position exists to ensure the delivery of great customer service to Australian Defence personnel and their families based at Pearce, thereby supporting their mission in the defence of Australia. In addition, this service benefits Ventia employees, contractors and visiting tourists.
The Cleaner Leading Hand assists in coordination the delivery of scheduled cleaning services at Pearce including the provision of regular cleaning and Periodic cleaning to all establishments, buildings and locations as specified within the Defence Base Services contract.
The base hourly rate $22.46 p/h +10% Superannuation
Available opportunity:
- Bullsbrook RAAF Base Pearce - Monday to Friday 06.00-14.00, 38hours
Duties include, but no limited to:
- Ensure periodical cleaning services are delivered in accordance with the schedule. Including the cleaning of carpets, and the stripping and sealing of floors
- Provide team support for issues, and provide relief in the absence of Cleaning Supervisor
- Liaise with the client to prevent occurrence/reoccurrence of non-conformities in service delivery
- Undertake daily cleaning on carpeted floors, sealed and unsealed internal hard/resilient floors, toilets & ablution amenities, canteen and food preparation areas, glass, furniture, remove garbage and litter, external hard surfaces and grassed and other non-paved areas
- Regularly review the site communications booklet to ensure that any issues/concerns are actioned
- Conform to all HSE and Ventia corporate requirements when working on site
- Partake in quality monitoring inspections and rectify any non-conformances identified
- Identify and report problems observed whilst working on site
- To participate in toolbox talks with a positive attitude
- Undertake cleaning activities on site in accordance with the daily, periodical and emergency cleaning programs
- Respond to any cleaning rectification requirements in accordance with the daily, programmed and emergency response times
- Notify Cleaning Supervisor of any requests for additional cleaning on site
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Certificate 2 Cleaning or equivalent experience
- Working at heights for gutter cleaning (Desirable)
- Australian Citizenship (for Defence security clearance requirements)
- Able to obtain and maintain a National Police Clearance Check
- Valid Driver’s Licence and own reliable transport to get to and from site
- Proof of COVID-19 Digital certificate or Immunisation History Statement
- Able to pass a basic medical, including a Drug and Alcohol screen
- Some cleaning experience preferred (not essential)
- Reliable punctual and takes pride in personal appearance and work standards
- Reasonable fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods
- Physically capable to clean in busy/noisy industrial environment
