Ventia has a long standing Parks and Roadsides contract with the Mornington Peninsula Shire and is seeking a new sportsfields team member. The role is predominately assisting in the delivery of oval mowing utilising a wide area mower, but also assisting with other seasonal works such as top dressing, ground repairs, spraying and irrigation works as required.

Responsibilities include:

• To assist the Team Leader & Second In Charge– Sporting Fields in carrying out sportsfield mowing, irrigation works and weed and pest control
• Role is predominately the delivery of sportsfield mowing works in line with weekly programs/schedule of works
• Utilise iPad to record sportsfield maintenance and report defects
• Use a range of mowing and horticulture equipment e.g., brush cutter
• Positively contribute to a diverse, inclusive and fair work environment
• Work safely at all times adhering to our HSEQ policies and procedures

Experience and/or qualifications in the following are desirable:

• Experience in sports fields/golf course or mowing is desirable, but are willing to offer training to a motivated candidate
• Manual Driver’s Licence/Medium Rigid Licence
• General mechanical aptitude
