Our client, Anglo American are a leading global mining company with a portfolio of world-class coal mining operations and undeveloped resources. Anglo American produces and exports the highest quality hard coking coal around the world to be used for steel production for critical building and infrastructure.
Ventia provide Hard and Soft FM services including village maintenance and accommodation to a number of Anglo American sites across the Bowen Basin.
Ventia are currently sourcing a qualified Sewage and Water Treatment Plant Plumber. The scope of plumbing works includes repairs & maintenance, change outs, new installations, and preventative maintenance. This role will deliver a high standard of work in line with company, contractual and legislative & safety procedures. The role will be based in Moura on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster with meals and accommodation provided while in camp.
About the role
The Sewage and Water Treatment Plant Plumber is responsible for providing daily checks of the treatment plants, water sample testing, documenting, and reporting any issues that arise which includes plumbing, pumps, gas and drainage repairs & maintenance to Anglo American assets, plant & equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Cert 3 Water Operations
- Registered and licensed Plumber
- Gas fitting license (Desirable)
- Site Safe Passport or equivalent (Desirable)
- LVR CPR – First Aid Training
- Driver’s License
- White Card
- Standard 11
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 – 5 years post trade experience in a Commercial/Industrial environment
- Previous experience working in a building maintenance position involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Good understanding of contractual relationships and what is required to successfully fulfill obligations
- An understanding and commitment to OH&S, risk management and hazard identification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level customer focus, engagement skills and responsiveness to customer requests
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- Knowledge of current industry standard s relevant to Trades Services operations
