The centralAlliance is a collaborative agreement between Whanganui and MidCentral District Health Boards. The Whanganui DHB (WDHB) includes Whanganui Hospital with 172 in-patient Beds.
About the Role
You will be the main and chief plumber for the Wanganui site. In this role you will:
- Identify, manage, and assist the Facility Manager in standardisation of maintenance activities and the planning of preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis, reactive repairs, calibrations
- Commission adjustments of plant and equipment and liaising with specialist third-party contractors
- Complete all related paperwork as necessary in a timely manner e.g. timesheets, purchase orders, job dockets, minor estimates, technical reports
The position will require participation in the site “on call” roster or undertaking approved overtime to satisfy service requirements.
About the You
To be considered for this role, you will need to be a fully registered and licensed plumber as well as the below:
- Gas fitting licence (desirable)
- Knowledge of plumbing and drainage materials and methods, building and safety standards and the Building Code in relation to plumbing, gas fitting, and drainage.
