The Opportunity
Ventia has been awarded the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) for the Government of South Australia and as such we are looking for Business Data Analysts to join our growing team.

The Data Analyst collects, models, and analyses data to gain relevant insights to support operational, commercial and strategic decision making on the AGFMA contract. The role will be key in the building of analytical reporting and trending of data from across the contract for the purposes of tracking performance, compliance and continual improvement. Reporting to the Data & Analytics Manager this role is pivotal in the development and implementation of longer-term transformation and improvement programs along with supporting the daily delivery of operational excellence.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday. Our AGFMA head office is in Wakefield Street, Adelaide CBD.

The primary responsibilities of your role will include (but are not limited to):

• Compile, benchmark and analyse performance indicators as required to monitor the contract, including Contact Centre, Sub-contractors, Costs and overheads.
• Develop insights and recommendations to relevant managers in line with performance requirements.
• Understand issues and opportunities in the context of the contract and recommend business solutions that may enable effective achievement of objectives.
• Liaising with relevant contract managers to coordinate investigation for non-compliance or poorly trending KPIs and contribute to the development of corrective actions.
• Create data sets, models and visualisations that support ongoing operational improvement initiatives.
• Provide coaching and guidance to the broader team in relation to analytical outcomes.
• Conduct audits of data source integrities to a high-quality standard at the required frequency, supported by clear findings a recommendations.
• Build and maintain effective relationships across the contract support and operational services teams, as well as clients and subcontractors.
• Other reasonable activities as required for the role.

Skills and experience:

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role providing excellent analytical reporting and recommendations.
• Experience/Capability in the use of the following (highly regarded):
  • MS Azure, Amazon S3 or similar cloud store environment MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar local store environment
  • Python with experience in packages such as NumPy or Pandas or Alteryx.
  • Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
• An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
