About the Role:
Ventia’s Assistant Village Manager is part of the leadership team responsible for facilities management, maintenance, and accommodation services to the Anglo American Mine Site Villages in Moura. This includes 2 villages of over 400 people with an additional 50+ houses as well as plant and equipment.
This critical role will be responsible for providing strong leadership as well as providing operational support to all the village service delivery teams. The Assistant Village Manager will work across a 10 day on/4 day off roster, meals and accommodation provided on a fly in, fly out basis with a competitive salary package and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development & implementation of village service strategies & action plans that continue operational excellence.
- Employee rostering ensuring service requirements are achieved & operational mining planned variances are accommodated for
- Provide leadership & technical support to Supervisors & Managers on matters relating to village operations & people management.
- Development, delivery, & alignment of management programs relating to Food Safety, Staffing, Procurement, Risk & Health & Safety
- Auditing, analyzing, & reporting village operational performance to internal & external clients & regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with senior Ventia & Anglo-American leadership on operational matters where required.
- Conduct & support Health & Safety investigations.
- Drive a culture of delivering above & beyond customer & client expectations.
About You:
- Strong leadership capability including ability to manage and develop teams.
- Experience with facilities maintenance and management in a similar environment
- Experience in Hotel/Motel/Resort management or hospitality and catering
- Ability to manage budgets and forecasts.
- Strong safety and health focus
- Strong and experienced stakeholder engagement
