About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced P6 Planner to work on our busy resources contract. This full-time permanent position is conveniently located in our Perth CBD head office on Adelaide Terrace, however ad hoc travel to site will be required as and when needed.  

Reporting directly into the Contract Manager, this critical role will support the Resources West business and is responsible for the preparation of project schedules for both tenders and awarded projects. To be successful in this role you will have worked in a similar role and have extensive Primavera P6 experience.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of P6 schedules, which include work scope planning, procurement, site execution (including shutdowns) and commissioning activities.
  • Liaise with project engineers to schedule and re-schedule activities as required.
  • Updating activities and statuses based on information from various sources in both Primavera P6 & SAP
  • Develop and maintain overall schedules in accordance with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using Primavera P6 to client expectations.
  • Co-Ordination with key site-based stakeholders to ensure plans are developed in line with Ventia & site requirements.
  • Responsible for the preparation and issue of plans, schedules, progress, and performance reports in accordance with reporting requirement
  • Monitor and control all planning activities through the planning and execution phase of the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in workplace risk assessments for complex activities.
  • Mobilise to site for ad hoc visits and during key activities i.e., shutdowns.

Skills & experience:

  • Extensive experience in Maintenance and Project planning 
  • Sound knowledge of construction processes and methodology 
  • Whilst not essential, maintenance operations and/or shut project experience will be highly regarded.
  • Advanced Excel/Power BI Reporting experience preferred. 
  • Project Completions system (e.g., TOSTR) is beneficial. 
  • Excellent knowledge of the relevant trade and/or discipline areas - ability to provide guidance & expertise to others. 
  • Ability to prioritise and coordinate large volumes of work concurrently. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to enable effective communication with key stakeholders.
