The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient support to Supervisor, Payroll, HR, and employees in regards rosters and time sheeting requirements across the NSW Schools Cleaning Contract, in all regions as well as providing ongoing education to all regarding the award and Australian laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain weekly regional timesheets and ensure accurate and timely fortnightly payments
- Validate weekly payrolls for all wages employees, in accordance with established processes and guidelines within timeframes agreed between the Contract and Shared Services
- Attend to pay queries and requests for information in a timely manner as agreed between the Finance Team and the Operational Team and maintain a high-volume inbox.
- Be the first point of contact in the rostering hotline and conduct the phone conversations and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Act as a point of call for all wages employees, resolving payment errors and preventing recurrence.
- Validate Employee contract changes requested by Supervisors; forward accurately completed forms to HR and Payroll
- Reconcile Medical Certificates are received to ensure correct SL payments.
- Periodically analyse employee master data information, ensuring the correct configuration and set up of employee payment information in conjunction with Shared Services (HR and Payroll) to reduce payroll related errors
- Support team members during periods of planned leave, providing support and assistance to new and/or replacement team members.
About You:
- Previous experience within a large payroll industry (1,000 employees)
- High Proficiency in MS Office applications, in particular Excel.
- Proven high level of inter-personal and communication skills.
- Must have a valid and current Security Clearance including Working with Children Check.
- This role may require the incumbent to have availability for emergency situations after hours.
