About the role

A fantastic opportunity now exists for a Project Manager to direct, manage, and provide oversight of assigned electrical infrastructure projects to ensure that our clients objectives are accomplished within the prescribed schedule and budget parameters.

On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to)

• Managing and supporting all aspects of Ventia Project/Contract Life Cycle- Initiation, Planning, Execution, Closure, Monitoring and Controlling Project/Contract works
• Developing cost-effective plans and schedules for completion of projects ensuring budgets and resource utilisation is being delivered.
• Overseeing performance of all field staff, contractors and subcontractors as well as reviewing relevant scope of works, engineered drawings and standards to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.
• Providing regular detailed reporting/metrics on existing projects, resources allocation, project status completion statistics, any variances to plan and forecasting of future needs.
• Tracking and controlling project schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated.

About you

Highly motivated, you hold a professional qualification in the field of engineering and/or project management with a minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience in managing construction projects or qualification and /or experience in electrical engineering and asset management. You thrive under pressure and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and conflicting deadlines. Your project management experience with Transpower/Vector will be highly regarded. You have excellent organisational and time management skills and take pride in your quest for continuous improvement! You have a sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations. Your commitment to surpassing customer expectation will ensure your success in this role!
