We require an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Brisbane. The role reports to the Project Manager, supporting them, and effectively managing Engineers and Coordinator Staff to work together with other stakeholders such as Construction, Land Access, Design, and the Client to ensure project is delivered within budget and according to client requirements.

About the Role
The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring effective co-ordination of site activities and to provide technical support resource to the construction teams, ensuring the activities in the 1 to 3 month outlook is tracked and achieved as well as ensuring the team are effectively delivering Project Deliverables through coordination with Design, Land Access and Construction teams to manage the day to day running of the Project.
In addition, the Project Engineer is required to:
- Effectively lead a team of Engineers/Co-Ordinators to forecast, plan, manage and report on the current and future Program of Works. This is to be achieved alongside the collaborative engagement with the Design, Construction and Land Access team
- Support the Construction Team in efficiently delivering all construction works throughout the state in a timely manner.
Key accountabilities will include aspects in:
- Safety and environment
- Programme and resource management
- Quality and contract management
- Leadership
About You
Ideally will have a Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or Equivalent, accompanied with sound experience in ideally in the infrastructure / construction industry.
You will also possess:
- Good understanding of telecommunications pit and pipe and optic fibre network infrastructure
- Comprehensive experiencing in project planning, principles and practices
- Proven record of dealing with key stakeholders, including workforce and sub-contractors
- Proven record of project reporting
- High level of computer skills including MS word , Excel and ERP systems such as SAP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking with strong time management and problem-solving capabilities
