An exciting opportunity for an experienced generalist ER Advisor to join a fun, collaborative, and hardworking team supporting a diverse organisation.
About the Role:
The ER Advisor is responsible for the provision of human resource/employee relations advice, case management to the business and for assisting in building basic employee relations knowledge and capability amongst the users of the HR Service Centre.
This role will sit in the People and Capability Advisory Team and is a hybrid role with the flexibility of working from home or from our North Sydney or Parramatta Office – both of which are conveniently located near public transport and local shops.
This role is a great opportunity for someone that is interested in developing their skills in the Employment Relations area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive a culture of delivering customer value.

Work with different stakeholders to support and provide effective outcomes for the business and our 15,000 employees.

Managing complex workplace investigations and a variety of employee relations cases for our Project teams.

Carry out all work activities upholding the Company values of Integrity, Ingenuity, Collaboration and Challenge.

Work closely with Ventia’s P & C Business Partners and P & C management on various cases and/or projects.

Managing various ER / IR compliance activities within a large organisation.

Actively participate in the Performance and Development Review process.

Carry out all duties in line with Ventia’s policies and procedures.
Key Experiences & Skills
-
Qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
-
Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role such as People & Capability, HR Advisor, or HR Business Partner role, in a medium to large organisation.

Experience in managing employee and industrial relations issues.
-
Understanding of employment legislation and as well as the ability to interpret industrial instruments.

Strong compliance skills.
-
Experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.

Excellent interpersonal skills
-
Strong communications – both written and verbal.
-
An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
