The Role:
Ventia are seeking experienced Civil Construction Operators to join our Venture Smart team, delivering results to our client Main Roads Western Australia. In this role you will be operating on assets such as Traffic control signals, roadway lighting, electronic speed limit signs, CCTV cameras, vehicle detention systems and more.

Successful candidates will be involved with the delivery of signalized intersection upgrades, electrical asset rehabilitation (street lighting and switchboards) and a variety of other Civil related projects.

This is a fulltime permanent role, whilst the depot is based in Jandakot WA, you will be operating on assets across the Perth metropolitan and regional areas.

Key duties, but not limited to:

• Operate excavators to complete detailed excavation works in and around live public utilities (up to 7 tonnes)
• Perform civil works both in and outside of machinery
• Understand and action DBYD drawings accordingly
• Work alongside the team performing civil electrical installations (pit & pipe)
• Assisting Traffic Technician teams and Electricians as required

Skills and Experience:

• WA Driver’s License – MR or higher minimum
• Excavator Operation ticket
• Experience working on electrical assets across civil / construction sites
• Operating mini excavators on civil / brownfields construction sites
• Motivated self-starter, willing to contribute and work as part of a team

Highly Desirable:

• Forklift ticket
• Prior work on Main Roads electrical and communications assets
• Basic Worksite Traffic Management tickets
• High Risk Work License – EWP & Rigging Basic
• Working at Heights
• Vehicle Mounted Crane (VMC) ticket
