About the Role:
Based in the Illawarra, and working within our longstanding BlueScope Plant Maintenance Contract, an opportunity exists for a dynamic and committed individual to join Ventia and the PCI (Pulverised Coal Injection) Team in the role of Electrical Technician.
The Pulverised Coal Injection (PCI) Plant provides fuel that is essential to No.5 Blast Furnace and will provide fuel to the No.6 Blast Furnace once it is commissioned. The PCI Plant is an integral part of our supply chain operations.
In this role you will be part of our clients’ integrated team, performing technical and maintenance work on projects, shutdowns and day-to-day maintenance service requests, whilst achieving safety, quality, critical equipment uptime and operational efficiency objectives.

To be successful in this role, the following qualification, licences, skills and experience are required:
- Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
- Qualified Electrician (with a current Electrical Contractor or Electrical Supervisor licence)
- Electrical maintenance experience, including the ability to read electrical prints, fault finding and diagnosis skills.
- SAP & computer skills
- PLC experience
- NSW Drivers Licence
- The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.
- Proactive nature to support and lead your team.
- Flexibility to work in a multi-skilled team with the ability to work independently.
- Pride in your standard of work with a passion for identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
