Stores Attendant

We are seeking a Stores Attendant to join our Defence Stores North Queensland team at the Defence base in Townsville. This position is a permenent opportunity working 38hr per week.

Responsibilities

• Storing and packing of goods and materials in accordance with procedures

• Preparation of documentation including liaison with suppliers

• Applying quality control techniques to the work and where required to work of other staff

• Ensure proper custody of stores (stock quantity, deterioration, shelf-life expiry checks etc.)

Experiences & Qualifications

• Prior Warehouse / Logistics experience prefered but not essential

• Forklift License preferred (can be obtained once commenced position)

• Previous experience with Defence Inventory Systems MILIS highly regarded

• Computer literate with Ms Office experience

• Exercises good communication and interpersonal skills

• You must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to complete a Defence Security Clearance
