As part of our on-going contract with the Department of Justice, we currently are recruiting for Care & Custody Officers to join our team in Perth, WA.

The role of a Care & Custody Officer involves providing a safe and secure environment for detainees in custody, ensuring their welfare needs are met, and always maintaining a professional and respectful approach.

• Receive a fully funded Certificate 3 in Correctional Services
• 6 weeks full paid training to set you up for success
• Training Rate $27.35 - Base Rate Post Training $29.50

This role requires you to

• Deliver a safe transport and supervision of detainees during critical activities
• Participate in court activities for security requirements
• Manage conflict and communicate with empathy
• Display a fair and openminded approach to detainees in custody
• Provide safety and security for Persons in Custody, staff, employees, and members of the public
• Perform walking and mobile patrols of a designated area
• Supervising people in Custody, escorting them to appointments or court appearances, and maintaining accurate records
  
  

What you need

• Availability to train full time for 6 weeks in Perth (Fully Funded)
• Commitment to a minimum of 12 months to obtain qualifications
• MUST HAVE FULL working rights in Australia
• Be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol test
