About The Role:

Ventia in partnership with our Anglo-American contract is expanding and we are now looking for a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to work at our Middlemount mine site, QLD. You will be providing preventative and reactive maintenance on air-conditioning units, compressors, and substations on our open-cut coal mine.

Ventia in partnership with our Anglo-American contract is expanding and we are now looking for a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to work at our Middlemount mine site, QLD. You will be providing preventative and reactive maintenance on air-conditioning units, compressors, and substations on our open-cut coal mine.

You will work a 7 day on / 7 day off, drive in, drive out roster. Half a year’s work, whilst getting paid the full year!! Meals and accommodation are also provided on a salary of $113,835.83 + Super.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reactive and preventative maintenance on all substations, air conditioning and compressor units

• Repairs, maintenance, and installations of plant & equipment

• Fault Finding and refurbishment works

• Compressor changeouts

• Brake line maintenance and repairs

• Installation of PCB’s (Printed Circuit Boards)

• Effectively communicate with customers to support other trades people

What We’re Looking For:

• Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification & Refrigerant Handling License (RAC)

• Proven experience in a Mining/Commercial/Industrial environment

• Standard 11 Surface - Required

• Restricted electrical licence

• LVR and CPR

• Driver’s License & own transport to drive to camp

• White Card
