DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Transferring patients as required in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
- Delivering documents to appropriate areas within required timeframes
- Blood and specimens are delivered and picked up within the required timeframes.
- Cleaning to be undertaken such as in the theatre and cleaning equipment between use
- Delivering supplies and equipment to appropriate areas
- Providing professional assistance with manual handling and transferring of patients
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Full-time (40 hours a week)
- Based at the Palmerston North DHB (50 Ruahine Street, Roslyn, Palmerston North 4442)
- Monday to Friday!
- All PPE provided
It is a busy hospital; you will need to respond flexibly to changes. If there is an urgent need for Orderly assistance in a different part of the building, you will be ready and trained to assist.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
- Always maintain professional presentation
- All patients and other staff are always treated with respect and courtesy.
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Previous customer service experience is an advantage
- Fully Vaccinated against Covid 19
WE OFFER COMPETITIVE PENAL RATES AND OTHER BENEFITS!
- Time and quarter for hours worked between 8 pm to 6 am
- Time and half for the first 3 hours worked after an 8-hour shift between Monday to Sunday then double time after
- All hours worked on public holidays are double time!
- Weekend shifts all hours are time and a half!
