An exciting opportunity for a Project Director to join our fun, collaborative, and hardworking Energy Solutions team based at our head office in North Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide!

About the role
We have a newly created position for a Project Director for our Energy Solutions division. This role will involve managing key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring electrical construction projects deliver on time and on budget, whilst maintaining safety and quality requirements. You will be part of a market making business that will provide behind-the-meter C&I solutions such as virtual power plants, microgrids, solar assets, batteries, EV-charging infrastructure, LED lighting and other new technology.

This position is a full-time permanent opportunity with flexible working spending time in the office, on the road and from home. Frequent interstate travel will be required depending on the project.

This position is primarily responsible for:

• Managing the project and contract deliverables; ensuring compliance with plans and managing key relationships

• Leading an internal delivery team and external subcontractors

• Financial management; developing project budgets, managing cash flows and forecasts

• Management reporting, governance and stakeholder engagement

• Mobilising resources; including engagement of subcontractors

• OHS&E; promoting and overseeing a positive HSE culture in the workplace

A key component of the role is achieving results and outcomes in a manner that is always accountable and demonstrates probity, procedural fairness and value for money. We expect our Project Director to take responsibility for progress of activities, consulting actively with the client on important problems and issues, and demonstrate value, innovation, analytical rigour and quality assurance in project or activity management. This will include ensuring quality, clarity and accuracy of reporting, invoicing and financial management for a multi-million portfolio.

About you

• Experience in managing, leading and driving large, complex electrical construction projects through to project completion

• Commercial and Industrial scale SOLAR experience (highly desired)

• Experience in projects with Office Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) requirements

• Experience with project financials, management reporting and stakeholder engagement

• Willingness to travel frequently

• You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain Commonwealth Baseline Clearance.
