About the role
Be part of the team working within the infrastructure services working on bids and projects of significant scope and value to Ventia Australia and New Zealand.
The Procurement Lead, as part of the newly created Procurement Hub, is responsible for managing and developing end-to-end procurement support for the Infrastructure Services Sector. This includes collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to define procurement needs, supplier engagement, managing and executing sourcing activities in adherence to the procurement processes. The role demands strong commercial and communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality procurement solutions.
This position is based in our North Sydney office, with flexible working arrangement (working some days in the office/ from home).

What you’ll be doing
Manage a high-performance End-to-End procurement team including but not limited to:
- Oversee the comprehensive procurement-to pay process for the provision of goods and services
- Performance management according to set Service Level Agreement with internal customers
- Supplier management, increasing spend on contract and catalogues
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, maintaining a strategic approach to supplier relationships
- Deliver optimal Value for Money through structured supplier negotiations, contributing to cost-effective solutions
- Ensure on time delivery of required goods and service for operational teams to perform deliverables on time
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for improvement within the procurement processes
About you
- Relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years experience and proven track record in procurement and sourcing in a relevant industry (i.e., Facility Management; Building & Construction; Resources; FMCG; Utilities; Government; Manufacturing)
- CIPS Procurement certification an advantage
- Familiarity with procurement management systems (i.e., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Etc)
- End to end Understanding of the Strategic Sourcing procurement Process
- Understanding of financial principles to evaluate proposals
- Strong negotiation ability with suppliers and stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience/Capability in the use of the following preferred:
- Ariba, Coupa, or other E-Procurement tool
- MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
