LOCATION
This role will be looking after a contract that covers the entire Kaipara district. You will be expected to operate out of our Dargaville depot majority of the time with the option to work from our Whangarei office every couple of days.
You can also base yourself out of the many beautiful spots that Northland has to offer, from Mangawhai to Kaipara Bay.
THE TEAM
A mixture of civil construction and roads maintenance projects are managed from the Dargaville Branch of our Transport Division. Boasting a good blend of both local and international experience, we support each other, provide opportunities for development and promotion, and have ambitions to expand our Northland business in the coming years.
THE CONTRACT
The Kaipara District Council Roading Maintenance Contract is the biggest and one of the most valued maintenance contract in the region. With the contract worth around 15 million dollars annually, this is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the region.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a vital member of the Ventia Transport Infrastructure Business, the Kaipara Roading Maintenance Contract manager will be responsible for the maintenance of over 1200KM of unsealed and 400 km of sealed roads.
From grading to pavement maintenance, drainage, footpaths, and chipsealing, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in keeping our roads safe and accessible.
In this role, you will lead a team of about 40 staff members, working closely with the Renewals and Maintenance Managers
Your strong people and leadership skills will be key to your success, as you mentor and support your team to deliver exceptional results.
Stakeholder management will also be an essential part of your role, ensuring effective collaboration with various subcontractors and stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU
If you have experience with RAMM (Road Asset and Maintenance Management), that would be an advantage. Additionally, a tertiary qualification in Civil, Construction, or Roading Engineering or a related field will be highly beneficial.
As Contract Manager, project management and financial acumen are important skills that you will bring to the table.
Your ability to manage multiple teams and deliver projects within budget and on time will be critical in this role.
