Values

Our values describe the approach and mindset we bring to our work in pursuit of our Purpose. They guide our behaviour, influence how we work together and are the standards we hold ourselves to. They serve to remind us that how we deliver on our Purpose if just as important as our Purpose itself.

We have clearly defined our key capabilities and distilled these into a capability landscape that clarifies the various offerings to our workforce that allows deliberate and focused capability development opportunities.

Development and capability roadmaps and regular development conversations provide clarity on career progression. We have introduced LinkedIn Learning for all staff to further support individual learning journeys in addition to our organisational capability building initiatives.

Culture at Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission

quote image
I’ve been with the VGCCC for 14 years, starting as an Auditor and progressing to my current position as Manager of the Risk and Intelligence team. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to take part in leadership development programs and cross-functional projects that have significantly contributed to my growth. The VGCCC has consistently championed gender equality, and I’ve felt genuinely supported by leaders who advocate for inclusive decision-making and career advancement. This commitment has not only empowered me but also created a workplace culture where everyone feels valued. Working for a regulator like the VGCCC matters deeply to me because it aligns with my values of integrity, fairness, and public accountability. Knowing that my work contributes to protecting the community and ensuring compliance within the gambling sector gives me a strong sense of purpose.
