About the role

Reporting to the Logistics Planning Team Lead, you will be based in the Docklands office but have an opportunity to work in a dynamic role. Viva Energy supports flexible working, including the opportunity to complete some work from home. The Logistics Planner is accountable for the effective and efficient scheduling of all Fleet resources to meet customer requirements.

Through the on boarding process, we offer a detailed training program to set you up for success in the role. You will be joining a dedicated and collaborative team who will continue to support you in the role.

The role operates on a rotating day shift roster, which includes working some Saturdays and Public Holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute accurate, efficient, safe and timely schedules
  • Ensure all relevant data such as dips entry, dip validation, densities, tank status, terminal outages etc. are captured accurately
  • Develop a sound understanding of sales patterns and demand performance
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external parties through the timely and accurate resolution of all queries
  • Responsible for the efficient use of available fleet resources and focused on the balancing of customer service versus cost
  • Strive for continuous improvement. I.e. fleet profile improvements, influence customer ordering behavior and reviewing outcome analysis.
  • Work closely with a number of key stakeholder such as Carrier’s, Logistics Contract and Commercial and Sales Teams
  • Work with our Retail team to effectively manage safe delivery around planned maintenance and site works. This includes managing drawdowns, project works and product changeovers with the support of the Order to Delivery analyst
  • Advocate for Safety in all aspects of the scheduling role

Experience:

  • Experience in Customer Service, Logistics or Analytics.
  • Logistics / Supply Chain experience preferred but not essential.
  • Road Transport Logistics (Dangerous Goods, Chain of Responsibility & Fatigue Laws) experience preferred but not essential.
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft suite.
