Team Leader - Authorised Officers Role

About the role
As a Team Leader – Authorised Officers, you will lead and support a team to deliver safe, compliant, and customer-focused services across the V/Line network.
You will play a key role in ensuring a safe and positive travel experience for customers while contributing to continuous improvement and organisational performance.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leading the day-to-day supervision and support of Authorised Officers
- Undertaking operational Authorised Officer duties
- Managing systems, reporting, and administrative requirements
- Training, mentoring, and developing team capability
- Driving initiatives to improve customer service and performance outcomes
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting safety by deterring anti-social behaviour and fare evasion
Location & Travel Considerations
The position is located out of Southern Cross, with requirement to work and travel in Geelong 2 days a week
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- An Accredited Authorised Officer under the Transport Act in Victoria Australia
- Demonstrated employment history, including a minimum of 6 months continuous service in a frontline leadership or management role within the past 12 months, with experience leading and managing a team of Authorised Officers.
- Ability to work rotating shifts across 7 days, including weekends and public holidays
- This Team Leader, Authorised Officer role is primarily based at Southern Cross, with a business requirement to work from Geelong Station two days per week.
