About the role

This is a great opportunity to join V/Line's Network Change Communications team, responsible for the collection, analysis and delivery of timely and accurate train and coach service communication to customers and staff through a variety of channels, including digital and on-network communications.

You will coordinate communications for planned disruptions across the V/Line network, including maintenance works, project upgrades, special events and public holiday timetables. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will develop communication materials, support strategic communications planning and work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure customers receive clear, accurate and timely information

This is a 12-month, fixed term contract.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Plan, develop and distribute planned disruption communications across multiple channels.

  • Support the development of strategic communications plans for major planned disruptions.

  • Prepare and distribute staff briefings to ensure frontline teams are informed of planned service changes.

  • Identify communication tactics that help mitigate customer issues and risks associated with planned disruptions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage multiple competing deadlines and prioritise time-critical work.

About you

The ability to build strong relationships and work to tight deadlines will be highly valued in this role, helping to ensure clear, accurate and timely communication across a diverse range of audiences.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following key selection criteria:

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex operational information and translate it into clear, concise and audience-appropriate communications.

  • Proven experience building effective working relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve communication outcomes.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver communication outcomes in a fast-paced operational environment.

If your skills or experience don’t exactly match our listed requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We value diverse perspectives and believe in the potential for growth and development.
