Reporting to the Fault Centre Manager, could you be our next Fault Management Officer?
The Fault Management Officer acts as a conduit between the train controllers the field staff, liaising around faults and fault rectification and updating other parts of the business on the rectification.

- 4 days on 4 days off rotating roster. This position offers a rotation roster of:
- 4 days on day shift: 6am – 6pm
- 4 days on night shift: 6pm- 6am
- The Team. The fault Centre team Is a small, friendly, and fun team, that work in very closely with the other teams in the Network Maintenance team.
- Free Myki Travel.
Duties:
- Management of reactive faults ensuring that the response is in line with company guidelines.
- Work closely with maintenance, Integrated Operations Centre, and other key stakeholders to ensure reactive assets faults and incidents are safely managed and returned to service in a timely manner.
- Ensure all faults and incident management activities are undertaken safely.
- ensuring all faults and incidents on the network have identified an incident cause prior to closing the incident out.
About you
- The successful candidate for this position will have experience in a similar office-based role.
- You will need excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to build and manage relationships and give clear and concise verbal directions.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- The Ability to read technical drawings and diagrams
- Strong computer skills
The salary for this position will be paid in accordance with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2019 rate Clerk C4 ($47.51 per hour)
The selection process may include aptitude assessments, a behavioural event interview, probity (police) check and medical check.
