Reporting to the Manager – Commercial and Contracts, could you be our next Contracts Manager?
You will be accountable for the ongoing management and improvement of allocated Asset Management rail materials and services related contracts.
This position will suit a motivated, responsive, team player who can problem solve, and look at the bigger picture as well as the current task. A person who thrives in a change environment and is proactive with thoughts and ideas and act as a SME for our team and support the wider team.

Duties:
- Set up and develop robust and active contract management with an innovative and collaborative approach.
- Support main contract users within Asset Management through actively managing the performance of contracts and vendors including performance reviews, non-conformances and improving KPI’s and SLA’s.
- Understand operational needs and key risks to ensure the business is in a strong position when negotiating or establishing new contracts.
- Systemise, automate, and improve contractual management processes, developing structured contract management procedures, schedules and tools to cover vendor performance and quality auditing.
- Research and analyse contract related information including supplier contract reporting and provide reports regarding contract activity and performance.
About you:
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights.
- Degree qualified in Contract Management, Finance, Business, Engineering, or relatable field.
- Sound experience in Contract Management, Finance or Change Management
- Ability to engage with others and bring them along for the journey,
- Demonstrated experience managing contracts in operational environments
- Successful incumbent will need to work from the Lara Depot 1-2 days per week
