About the role
Reporting to the Civil Maintenance Supervisor, V/Line have vacancy for 4 Structures Inspector roles due to continued growth.The role location is flexible as it can be worked out of anyone of Regional Depots, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong or Warragul.An integral part of asset management to ensure the continuous running of our trains.The role is varied as you will be travelling throughout the Victorian Regions providing inspection, condition monitoring and reporting on all civil, structures and assets including bridges, tunnels, culverts, platforms, retaining walls, overhead structures and structure clearance inspections to ensure timely identification of maintenance works.
Duties
Undertake general and detailed schedules and unscheduled inspections on all designated civil assets.
Compile detailed reports on the results of any inspection and recommend on maintenance priorities to ensure ongoing safe and effective performance.
Provide specific advice to management on civil assets.
Update computer database for recording of asset condition
Identify and assess likely condition deterioration and identify timely or urgent actions to ensure structural integrity of civil assets.
Ensure all structures meet safety and rail requirements.
Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line RailAsset Management Enterprise Agreement 2019 and will be paid IMW (Track 2.5) $47.7965
About you

Graduate Engineer
Certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure or relevant demonstrable experience
Relevant qualifications in Structures Inspections
High Risk Work Licence
Demonstrate a Zero Harm Safety Approach
Maintain Quality and Structural Inspections
Certification of works to industry standards.
