About the role
As the Way Maintainer, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Network Development Asset and Maintenance (NDAM) Group.
An exciting opportunity to join the rail industry in an entry level position located in Horsham. The team has a great culture, long standing team with 5 team members who are now looking for their next Way Maintainer to join the team reporting to the Track Ganger.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Maintenance work including the renewal of track work and crossings including sleepers, rail, ballasts and fastenings.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with appropriate OH&S standards and regulations.
- There may be a requirement to work away from home in various locations around Victoria
- Current roster is Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 4 with every second Friday off. Roster can change depending on business requirements and you may be required to work afternoon, night shift, travel to other regions with weekend shifts and overtime as required.
About you
You will come from a labouring background, have a zero harm safety approach with an excellent work ethic ideally willingness to learn, grow and develop working amongst an established diverse inclusive team.
