Procurement Specialist – Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

About the role
Sitting in the SRM team, within the broader Procurement function, we have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to support V/Line’s operational contracts. This includes assisting with accommodation, cleaning, coach and catering suppliers. You will also enjoy aiding SRM activities including:
- Supporting the Contract Managers with managing supplier partnerships
- Assisting with Contract variations and monitoring contract spend
- Performing contract health checks
- Engaging internal and external stakeholders, including liaising with the Sourcing and Operations team
- Responding to supplier non-conformance
- Creating and presenting board papers to committees
Remuneration for this position will commence at a base salary of $114,258.10 (SNR OFF D01) in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2019.
About you
You are a capable communicator who has demonstrated experience managing and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders. You are easily able prioritise to handle competing deadlines.
Our ideal candidate will also possess the following:
- Proven procurement industry experience coupled with strategic thinking and strong negotiation skills
- Ability to identify value, facilitate and lead joint value chain planning as a collaborative activity
- Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGBP) experience (highly desirable)
- Previous experience working within a transport industry (desirable)
