About the role

As a member of the Security and Resilience Team, the Security Systems Analyst and Administrator is responsible for the ongoing development and operation of security intelligence frameworks to support relevant security functions, including business security reporting and analysis to produce actionable insights.

Key Accountabilities include:

    Supporting integrated Business Intelligence reporting to provide holistic view of safety, security and performance impacts and contribute to developing options to resolve.

      Developing ongoing intelligence reporting on security related incidents and developing options and map data geographically and visually using GIS and PowerBI.

        Preparing detailed and comprehensive reports based on analysis of, and investigation of incidents.

          Managing control and administration of Security databases - V/line Access Control System (VACS) and Security Incident Reporting System (SIRS) providing timely advice and user training.

            Providing detailed analysis and generate reports on trends and incidents for the SLT and ELT and timely and accurate monthly Security reports for the Executive and CEO.

              Administration of the EACS, IDS, CCTV and Assa Abloy systems.

                Assisting with writing, implementing, and maintaining Management Guides, Procedures, Work Instructions and Forms for the Security Team and also assisting in the development of monthly executive security reports, in particular the Security Executive Report.

                  Developing and maintaining the approval, procurement, and card / key issuing processes to meet the access and security needs of V/Line and authorized third parties.

                  About you

                  To be successful in securing this role, you will have substantial experience working within an administrative environment along with experience in applying legislation and standards to your work and the development of security intelligence frameworks.

                  You are also someone with very strong written and verbal communication skills along with extensive analytical skills.

                  Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

                    Demonstrated alignment to V/Line’s values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.

                      Bachelor’s degree or higher in Criminology or crime analysis/mapping or intelligence analysis.

                        You will demonstrate experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask and manage external and internal stakeholders.

                          Knowledge of theory, principles, practices, and methods of incident analysis.

                            Demonstrated knowledge of security system administration or working towards such a qualification/certification, including licencing under the Private Security Act desirable or willing to work towards.

                            The salary range for this role is up to CLERK C4 ($94,200.21 plus super) in accordance with the current V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2019/ Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2019.
