About the role
The Director - Operational Integration is responsible for the development and implementation of an effective change management framework, particularly project-related change, within the Operations function. This framework aims to ensure that V/Line meets its service delivery, customer satisfaction, and partnership objectives when implementing changes within the public transport network.
A key component of this role will be to support phases of project change, including; concept and design, development of business requirements, facilitation of strategies, management of delivery activities, and the monitoring of objective achievements.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Establishing a culture of change management excellence that anticipates and minimises resistance, and increases benefit realisation, value creation, ROI, and improvement of results.
- Implementing a continuous improvement reform to modernise the Operations division's approach to change management and increase governance.
- Improving workplace processes, including promoting standardisation and structure in decision-making, innovation, and ensuring workplace safety.
- Maintaining high levels of stakeholder engagement, whilst effectively resolving multidisciplinary, complex contractual issues.
- Ensuring that projects are conducted according to business requirements, standards, and regulations.
- Managing budgets and project financials.
About you
You will be an operational leader with experience facilitating and delivering project change management frameworks that have a significant impact on organisations.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Extensive leadership experience in a similar operational role focused on project change management and embedding continuous improvement and modernisation are essential.
- Qualifications in a Business or a related discipline, along with a Change Management qualification will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated operational experience within the rail, transport, aviation, or logistics industries is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the rail and transport sector and the Victorian Government's transport priorities.
- Provide innovative and pragmatic solutions to behavioural barriers to change within an organisation.
- Communicate and present effectively to various stakeholders, including senior stakeholders and operational team members, and tailor your message according to their needs.
- Demonstrated alignment with V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights.
