We want you for your Subject Matter Expertise as an experienced and accomplished Completions Engineer.
The Senior Completions Engineer role supports Projects by conducting Completions activities associated with project quality, verification, validation, completion, and handover of the works.
Take a lead role in developing Completions and handover processes and ensuring processes and requirements are followed and delivered on time.
About the role
In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for all Completions queries. You will:
- Review and develop the lot structure, template and populated completion reports, construction packs, quality lots, inspection & testing plans, quality forms, and checklists.
- Lead the development of project requirements associated with project quality, verification, validation, completion, and as-built documentation of works.
- Attend and represent V/Line in client and contractor completion meetings, audits, site inspections and reviews.
- Liaise with contractors for verification and review of their quality and completion documents.
- Review and develop project completions or quality plans, incl. verification and validation of works.
- Train & develop others in completions and handover management.
- Assist with the development of a quality and compliance audit schedule.
- Contribute to the review of process and quality non-conformances, proposed remedial measures, and dispensations requested.
- Attend completion site inspections and maintain omissions and defects list.
- Prepare project status reports, stakeholder presentations, and team communications.
- Develop and maintain completions and handover procedures.
- Support the development of asset registers for network changes.
You'll also be a champion for the Quality & Completions activities within V/Line, as you mentor and train junior engineers and project teams in completions activities.
Essential requirements
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or similar).
At least 5 years' experience working as a Completions Engineer.
Capable, confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the project and business throughout the project lifecycle in environments where there are high levels of activity.
Demonstrated ability to meet the demands & timelines of multiple projects whilst ensuring completions and handover activities are completed to schedule.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with 4-weeks' annual leave, superannuation, and free myki for metro & regional travel.
Salary for this role is in the range of $140,000 and $170,000 total remuneration (inclusive of superannuation).
