About the role

The Asset System Solution Architect at V/Line is responsible for developing and delivering the asset ecosystem roadmap, integrating JD Edwards ERP with other asset information systems. This role leverages expertise in enterprise system architecture, data design, and integration to enhance asset performance and lifecycle management. The architect will manage and champion all solutions and system integration initiatives within V/Line's complex organisational data and information systems.

Key accountabilities include:

Solution development

: Find the best tech solutions to solve existing business problems and define features, development phases, and solution requirements.

Integration management

: Interface with the Business Information Solutions (BIS) team to deliver an integrated asset ecosystem.

Data governance

: Maintain and improve JD Edwards to ensure a trusted, consistent, accurate, and reliable data product and system.

Reporting and compliance

: Build the reporting function of JD Edwards to understand the performance of processes and systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Stakeholder engagement

: Actively engage with business units to inform them of changes and capability enhancements and support the wider business with data and systems.

Expert support

: Provide trusted expert support to maintain and develop core asset systems and master data management.

About you

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Asset Systems Solution Architect who can manage and champion all solutions and system integration initiatives within V/Line's complex organisational data and information systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management, IT, and system integration, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in asset-intensive industries.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

Technical Expertise:

Extensive experience in asset management, maintenance, or IT, particularly within asset-intensive industries.

JDEdwards ERP:

Proficiency in JD Edwards ERP, with hands-on experience in managing and integrating this system.

ISO55001 knowledge:

Familiarity with ISO55001 standards and their application in asset management.

Data management:

Strong skills in data governance, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability.

Problem-solving:

Ability to develop and implement effective solutions to complex technical challenges.

Stakeholder engagement:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various business units and stakeholders.

Safety assessment:

Experience in conducting safety assessments and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
