About the role

The Business Analytics Advisor is the principal advisor and subject matter expert for Network Control in all IT, data collection and data management of impacted projects and initiatives.

The Business Analytics Advisor will work with all Network Control business groups to effectively drive, promote and support the delivery and implementation of the Network Control efficiency framework.

In this role you will:

  • Lead end-to-end process improvement and productivity initiatives.

  • Support Network Control teams in complex and sensitive productivity improvement initiatives.

  • Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace, creating a safe environment for all staff.

  • Work across different business functions and engage with various stakeholders.

  • Advocate and lead positive changes to ensure a safe working environment for Network Control staff.

Key accountabilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive business improvement initiatives using analytic insights.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Promote innovation and continuous improvement within Network Control and other business areas, including customer and Train Services staff improvement projects.

  • Cultural Change & Inclusion: Promote an inclusive and diverse workplace, drive cultural change focused on customer service, and ensure a safe customer environment.

  • Performance Reporting & Leadership Development: Design and implement business reporting for performance insights, facilitate Lessons Learned sessions, and develop leadership resources and management tools for Network Control KPIs (Performance, Reliability, Absenteeism, Safety).

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in development of business systems, digital applications, and other IT dashboards

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Network Control Operational environment

  • Strong experience in the development of digital applications

  • Strong experience in excel, power BI and other reporting tools

The remuneration for this position will be in accordance with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023. The salary range, aligned with Clerk C5 – SO 1.3, is $106,204 to $129,759 base, and will be offered commensurate with expectations and experience.
