About our Role:
We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join our team and lead our enterprise integration initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing integration strategies, establishing API governance frameworks, and ensuring seamless system interactions across our organisation. This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to enable business success through effective integration solutions.

About our Role:
We are seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to join our team and lead our enterprise integration initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing integration strategies, establishing API governance frameworks, and ensuring seamless system interactions across our organisation. This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to enable business success through effective integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable enterprise-wide integration strategies aligned with business and technical objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to deliver effective integration solutions.
- Lead API governance forums to establish and enforce best practices for API design, development, and lifecycle management.
- Architect and implement robust integration solutions using Microsoft Azure Services (Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hub, Event Grid) and other integration platforms as required.
- Manage and optimise complex message queueing and event-driven architecture strategies.
- Oversee the technical integration of GEN2 Storage, Azure Databricks, Service Bus, Event Hub, API Management, and Cosmos DB, ensuring efficient and secure data flow.
- Design, develop, and integrate solutions with SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow) and third-party APIs, ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Leverage non-Microsoft technologies, including AWS Step Functions, SQS/SNS, Lambda, and GCP Pub/Sub, to support multi-cloud or hybrid integration use cases.
- Design and enforce API security protocols, including OAuth, OpenID Connect, and token-based authentication.
- Provide technical leadership in integration patterns, practices, and technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective integration solutions.
- Design and implement API security standards and protocols.
- Monitor, analyse, and optimise integration performance, scalability, and reliability to meet evolving business needs.
- Provide advice about integration best practices and emerging technologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, evaluate new integration technologies and recommend solutions that align with business needs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for integration architectures, patterns, and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise integration development and architecture.
- Demonstrated experience in API design, development, and governance.
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Azure integration services, including Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Hub, and Event Grid.
- Strong knowledge of microservice architecture and Cosmos DB implementation.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Extensive knowledge of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and other integration protocols.
- Experience integrating with SaaS platforms and third-party APIs, including managing hybrid integration landscapes.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud integration using AWS or GCP services (e.g., Lambda, Step Functions, Pub/Sub).
- Proficiency in event-driven architecture, message queuing, and asynchronous communication systems.
- Solid understanding of API security standards and integration security protocols.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with ESB platforms and iPaaS solutions like MuleSoft or Dell Boomi.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of SaaS integration challenges and experience building scalable, reliable solutions for cloud-based systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
