Who we are looking for
We're looking for a forward-thinking Senior Asset Information Officer to manager our asset information.
Working across departments, you'll improve asset data quality, governance and system integration to support decision making within the organisation.
You'll learn how asset information is used to enable smarter investment decisions, improve risk management, and ensure proative infrastructure planning across our region. This is an ongoing full-time position, based in Warrnambool with a generous salary of $91,529.26 to $99,513.66 p.a. plus superannuation.

What you'll be doing
This is not a traditional data management role, it's an opportunity to shape the way asset intelligence supports critical infrastructure, helping us provide safe drinking water, protect the environment and serve our communities.
You'll advance our asset information capability by
- Improving asset data quality, structure and governance.
- Ensuring asset information supports risk-based decision making and regulatory compliance.
- Driving integration across AMIS, GIS, SCADA and enterprise systems.
- Supporting the delivery of the Asset Information Strategy and Strategic Asset Management Plan.
- Embedding consistent asset data standards and practices across teams and contractors.
- Helping the organisation to use digital asset management, predictive analytics and emerging technologies.
- Building asset data capability and confidence across operational and planning teams.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring
We’re seeking someone who combines technical capability with strategic thinking and can influence change across our organisation.
You'll bring experience in areas such as
- Qualifications in data science, data analytics, asset management, spatial science or related field consistent with the technology nature of the position.
- Financial and asset accounting experience.
- Experience with the use of corporate asset management systems such as Conquest, Maximo, or similar would be an advantage.
- The ability to engage different user groups to implement improvements to systems and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a solution orientated mindset.
