Who we are looking for

We have an ongoing full-time position for an A Grade electrician to join our electrical maintenance team based in Hamilton. A fully equipped and maintained tool of trade 4WD vehicle will be provided along with all necessary trade tools and equipment.

We’re looking for someone with sound knowledge and understanding of the operation, maintenance and installation of industrial electrical equipment and systems, including motor control and protection, pump control VSD's and soft starters, sensors and flowmeters.

You'll work both independently, and in a team environment to accomplish tasks and be able to demonstrate a systematic and thorough approach to achieving results. You'll be supported by a highly skilled team and have the authority to make autonomous decisions regarding electrical service functions.

Job Description

What you'll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you'll:

  • Find faults and rectify electrical breakdowns, conduct alterations and install industrial electrical equipment.
  • Conduct preventative electrical maintenance works.
  • Undertake modifications and improvements to our electrical assets.
  • Support upgrades and ongoing maintenance of the SCADA radio telemetry system.
  • Ensure customers receive prompt and efficient service.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

  • Registration as a Victorian A-Grade electrician with industrial electrical maintenance and installation experience.
  • Experience with telemetry RTUs and Scada radio telemetry systems.
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex control systems and the ability to use electrical schematics to diagnose electrical control system faults.
  • A certificate of basic electronics (desirable)
