Who we are looking for

We're looking for a Development Services Technical Officer to provide expert technical and engineering knowledge in the areas of land development and planning.

We have an ongoing full time position based in our Warrnambool officer. This position comes with a generous salary of $86,275 to $93,801 p.a. plus superannuation.

Job Description

What you'll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you'll:

  • Review sewer and water designs for infrastructure, submitted as part of the land development process, ensuring regulation and compliance.
  • Provide sound techinical advice to landowners, developers and other customers.
  • Engage with consulting engineers, contractors, and developers overseeing the construction and commissioning of new water and sewer infrastructure.
  • Provide input into the review of water supply and sewerage designs, construction standards, standard drawings and reticulation schemes.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or relevant discipline
  • Experience in the planning, design and construction of water and wastewater systems is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, consultative skills and excellent time management.
  • A high level of attention to detail, and the ability to follow engineering and contract administration processes.
