Who we are looking for
The Quality Water for Wannon Program is one of our most ambitious projects, with the goal of improving the taste and overall water quality for Portland, Port Fairy and Heywood.
We want our customers in these communities to have access to, and use, better quality tap water. This requires new capital infrastructure; a behaviour change program and community engagement.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about engagement, dedicated to exceptional customer service, possesses a collaborative, can-do mindset and takes pride in the successful outcome of a major project.
Join us as our Engagement Advisor and lead the development and implementation of a behaviour change program, project evaluation plan and engagement program. This position is full-time, contracted to February 2029, based in Warrnambool with flexibility options to work from home and availability to work from our other corporate offices. It comes with a generous salary of $86,275.11 to $93,801.15 p.a. plus superannuation.
Job Description
What you'll be doing
On a day-to-day basis, you'll:
- Plan and lead the delivery of the Quality Water for Wannon Engagement Strategy.
- Engage with local community members and oversee the development and delivery of the stakeholder reference groups.
- Produce professional, accurate and accessible information to inform customers about the program and support engagement activities.
- Design the delivery of a best practice behaviour change program and support the project realisation.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of an evaluation process assessing behaviour change programs, capital delivery, and the economic and environmental impacts and benefits.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in community engagement, community development, education or related field, or substantial relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) preferred.
- Experience in liaising with water and health industry stakeholders, local government, environmental groups, First Nations' communities, local community groups and special interest bodies.
- Experience in designing, planning and implementing engagement programs, activities and community education sessions.
